From CBS RapidReports:
K Kris Brown, who signed this week because of Nate Kaeding’s injured groin, was very accurate from varying distances in pre-game warm-ups.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:11 pm
This shit needs to change

October 24th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Chargers are supposed to be on tv in Phoenix. But, so far, all I see is the end of the Ravens and Bills.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Go Kris Brown. Take Kaeding’s job, please.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Norvs an asshole.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:36 pm
I see Chargers.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
What did asshole do?
October 24th, 2010 at 3:44 pm
2 hands
October 24th, 2010 at 3:48 pm
SD failed onsides kick. NE field position. NE stopped. SD pinned deep. SD fumble. NE recovers. NE scores TD. FUCK NORV.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:54 pm
We just can’t stop fucking ourselves!!!! It’s unreal.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Great. Apparently Vincent Jackson and Bobby Duckworth are coaching our team.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
I don’t even know what to say after that one…
October 24th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
We’re officially the dumbest team in football history, and we don’t even have Vincent Jackson on the roster yet.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
We’re not dumb. We’re just SLOPPY.
Like that.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
It could be worse…we could be Broncos fans…
October 24th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
How long can the D keep bailing us out? They are going to get gassed…
October 24th, 2010 at 4:42 pm
wow…what a shit 1/2…can’t believe we aren’t losing by 25 right now.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:42 pm
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
October 24th, 2010 at 4:52 pm
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO is right Colby!!
October 24th, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Well, either they pull this one out of their ass or there will be no more games for us to really care about in 2010.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Rivers not feeling it yet. Too many mistakes by him.
Offensive line looks bush league trying to run the ball.
Mathews not focused enough. Mistakes.
Bad call on Cason. Getting called for PI like Jammer used to.
Defense playing well.
Bottom line is we are a better second half team. But so is NE.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:55 pm
Agreed Ross, second half is our season.
October 24th, 2010 at 4:59 pm
If this team wants Norv to keep his job they had better act like they are playing for it in the second half. Not that I care, but I have to wonder if they care.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Great….D is starting to bend…actually, it’s Brady figuring us out. FUCK!
October 24th, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Defense reminds me of the Henning days. Keep us in the game, then play just bad enough to lose. Although, today, it looks like the D is folding earlier than normal.
I was wrong, guys, thinking this was just one of our traditional slow starts. Let’s go ahead and get a new coach and hope that makes a difference. It might just be a bunch of bad players and a good coach wouldn’t make a difference. But firing Norv is a low risk venture.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:13 pm
We are losing as a team. More proof Turner has to go.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:23 pm
The Chargers offensive like fucking sucks. McNeill now needs double team help to protect Rivers. Put Dombrowski back in. It is no mystery why we cannot run the ball. The guards suck, the tackles suck. And we have good running backs. Over rated shit.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:31 pm
Yea, the offensive line has been a lot better since we got that superstar McNeill back. I wonder what Jackson is going to do for our receiving corps.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:40 pm
By the time we get Jackson back, our season will be over anyway. This is just sad.
I don’t want to hear ANYONE saying after this game “we’re still in it.” I will punch them in the face. Seriously. We pissed away the easy part of our schedule. I don’t care how we play in December. We’re losing right now. December isn’t going to matter by the time we get there.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Jenn
Don’t worry I won’t say we are still in it. It’s really sad, but probably appropriate after all the missed chances in January.
October 24th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
So is Kris Brown our new kicker?
October 24th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
Do we have a player on defense that will step up right now with 2:00 minutes on the clock and be a game changer.
October 24th, 2010 at 6:06 pm
holy shit! What a stop!!!! Don’t let it be in vain.b
October 24th, 2010 at 6:12 pm
I guess that answers my question.
October 24th, 2010 at 6:12 pm
Sums it up.
October 24th, 2010 at 6:14 pm
They actually found a new way to lose and make it still sting. I swear I saw Kaeding with a little smile. It’s not a fluke when you look at our recent history.
October 24th, 2010 at 6:47 pm
This team has a way of sucking you back in and spitting you out all over again. We show flashes of what we could be if we got our shit together. The potential is there, but we can’t seem to reach it…ever.
I was in the bathroom from the Gates TD on. Superstitious family. I tried to come out when we recovered the Pats onside kick and my 64 year old mother physically pushed me back in. I didn’t try again until it was over. I was thinking that we need to get a tv in there, until we lost. I felt somewhat shielded in the bathroom from that heartbreak.
It could be worse…we could be Broncos fan. They set an Oakland franchise record - or rather let Oakland set one on them. 59 points. Ouch.
October 24th, 2010 at 6:51 pm
It’s a lack of discipline Ross. Too many mistakes again. Too much talent on this team to have a 2-5 record. But that being said, after seeing 7 games now, I would have to say that our offensive line is very, very much over rated. We have no running attack. We have no way to eat up the clock during the course of a game. It seems our offense is always in panic mode. An effective running game gives an offense the time to settle in and control the line of scrimmage. Unfortunately our offensive line is not good enough to establish that. Pass, pass, pass. Hurry, hurry, hurry. Running the ball slows down the game mentally but eats up the clock. That’s a good thing for both the offense and defense of a team. Until the offensive line is fixed we will continue to lose games. If Norv can’t fix it then AJ needs to get someone in here who can. AJ also needs to recognize that the line needs better personal. McNeill and Hardwick suck. Hardwick has no excuse. McNeill a little bit because of the rust. Clary and Vasquez stink too. Dielman is good enough. I don’t know what happened to Hardwick but he has regressed. Must be coaching.
October 24th, 2010 at 9:08 pm
“We are what we are,” head coach Norv Turner said. It is what it is, I guess. God help me.
October 24th, 2010 at 9:29 pm
Yeah, we got sack. I know what I’m wearing for Halloween…

October 25th, 2010 at 6:10 am
From the U-T
The San Diego Stupor Chargers pulled out of a 50-minute funk to come within inches of overtime Sunday. They ultimately fell, 23-20, to the New England Patriots because they deserved to.
says it all.
October 25th, 2010 at 7:53 am
Brady says mistakes like our would not be tolerated by the coaches in NE. Wasn’t it 2005 when he got all pissy when Marty tried to give the Pats an excuse for all the departed players depleting talent? But we suck and everyone knows it so we have to take it. Just as the Pats walked out on 1/14/07 calling us chokers, they and everyone else can say what they want and we have to take it. That is what sucks the most.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:09 am
Agreed Ross, we have to take all the trash talking as fans until management gets tired of looking stupid.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:23 pm
What a fracking joke. It’s college ball only for me for the rest of the year.
AJ & the Spanos family can KMA.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:38 pm
I’m on board, but he’s our coach for a while unfortunately.
http://www.firenorv.net/
October 25th, 2010 at 2:26 pm
I am now a member of the fire Norv club. The maddening thing is that this team has lots of talent and they will start to win games, but in the end, they will blow it again…
October 25th, 2010 at 5:06 pm
Acee - The problems are fixable but the Chargers aren’t bothering to fix them so it doesn’t matter.
From Roadhouse -
Frank Tilghman: It’s a good night. Nobody died.
Dalton: It’ll get worse before it gets better.
And that is exactly what has got to happen before we get the right people running this team.
October 25th, 2010 at 5:26 pm
Roadhouse
We need a cooler. Be nice until it’s time not to be nice. It’s time not to be nice.
October 25th, 2010 at 5:27 pm
Acee
Norv “could” be fired, but we’d have to suffer some more.

I’m sure Norv is talked out and tired of trying to explain what has happened to this team. The time for talking to his players is over. They either perform or you bench their asses. And it doesn’t matter who it is. You send a message that you do the job right or ride the pine. How the fuck can AJ argue with that. You can bet Goodman won’t be back which is a shame because he made a good catch and then went V-JAck. But it’s that fucking offensive line that I would really be blasting.
October 26th, 2010 at 1:39 pm

I still believe that this team needs to learn how to run the football consistently before it can move forward. Think about it. They have two signature running plays. Draw play to Sproles. Hand off to Hester on 3rd and one. That is a joke. Teams will start to catch on to the hand off to Hester like they did with Neal. The draw play to Sproles is already a sore subject. But that’s it. I see nothing in the middle of the field that shows me this team can run. This team has no identity as a running team anymore. There is no balance. I have watched enough football to realize that our offensive line doesn’t even look like it knows the fundamentals of run blocking. WTF!
So yes Ross, I agree with what the article says about our ass dart of a team. But he could have also added their ineptness at running the football to the mix.
Oh yea, and one final thing. Now that Naanee is coming back are we going to see that feeble attempt of an end around, another piece of shit Chargers signature running play.
October 28th, 2010 at 11:09 am
“Look man, I believe we can get through this together. I’m gonna go out there. I’m gonna give you all I got. It might not be 100 percent, but I’m going to give you all of the 80 percent I have. If that ain’t motivation for you, you may need to find a new job.” Antonio Gates
This is why I love Gates.
Speaking of injuries, giant asshole Jeff Fisher brings his band of baby blues to the Q this Sunday. Maybe playing the dirtiest fucking team in the NFL will help our guys stay focused.
October 28th, 2010 at 11:24 am
I saw that quote from Gates as well. He still has hope for this season.
Also, Norv has a zero tolerance policy?
http://www.nctimes.com/sports/football/professional/nfl/chargers/article_59375f72-a4ca-5929-87e1-d74d0f74d3ce.html
I did not know he even knew what that term meant.
October 28th, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Scott Bair scooped Acee. How’d that happen? Had to laugh considering all the RBs have had their share of fumbles and miscues. But hey, I guess Norvy heard my plea of do something. His ass must be feeling a little heat too.
October 28th, 2010 at 2:33 pm
another lovely story

I put myself on a 5-day moratorium of football news. I checked into the U-T Web site today and saw no news at all. No player was cut, and no coach was fired. Obviously the Spanoses are happy with what the team is doing.
In paraphrases of Dolemite
What game are we playing, and whose team am I on?
We’re no match for a couple kung fu hookers.
October 29th, 2010 at 10:55 am
I noticed we are ranked 17th in the league for rushing. That is not going to get it done.
October 29th, 2010 at 12:54 pm
17th in rushing could have been attained by grabbing an additional RB in 4th - or later. Or keeping Michael Bennett.
Our line hasn’t been the same since we lost Hudson Houck.
